Description
Cognac Fins Bois Lot 68-72 – Single Cask Jean-Luc Paquet 59,1% vol. - 0,7 Liter
A rare treasure. The Single Cask Cognac Fins Bois Lot 68-72 comes from the growing region north of Bordeaux, which is valued for its fruity full-bodiedness. This is where André's 50 hectare vineyard is located. Today his children run the family business, but it was the winemaker and grain farmer himself who was involved in the creation of this bottling. Between 1968 and 1972 he distilled the Eaux-de-vie for the Single Cru Cuvée in the wood-fired 10 hectolitre still from hand-picked Ugni Blanc grapes. They were cut and stored in French oak for at least 49 years.
Around half a century after distillation, the large-barrel Cognac Fins Bois Lot 68-72 delights the palate of even the most demanding connoisseurs with its multi-layered profile of shortbreads and caramel, berries and peaches, tobacco and wood.
