Stauning Peat is the distillery's flagship single malt whiskey. The peat is mined near the distillery and provides a unique flavor profile in the Stauning Peat. Distilled between 2012-2014, the whiskey matured in July of this year in nine 1st Fill ex-maker's Mark Bourbon barrels. In the nose fresh fruit and cereal notes, which are played by an unobtrusive peat smoke note. The aromas from the nose are also reflected on the palate, plus a fresh citrus note that ends in a long, sweetish finish. A really delicate bottling Stauning presents here and makes you want more!
