Stauning Peat Smoke is a composition of six Tawny Port wine barrels from the Calheiros Cruz winery. Four of these barrels contained undistorted stauning single malt whiskey, the other two were filled with peated whiskey - one with a heater and one with traditional peated stauning whiskey. All whiskeys were distilled in 2015, milled and bottled with 51.5% vol. In 2019. There is also a cask strength variant of this batch with 61.9% vol. - but in a much smaller edition.

The whiskey captivates with the youthful freshness of the Stauning Malts. Fruity, malty with a slight but complex smokiness due to the two different types of smoking. The port barrels provide aromas of figs, nuts, dried fruits, vanilla, brown sugar and toffee.
