Description

Waterford Ballyroe Ed. 1.1 Single Malt Whisky 50,0% vol. 0,7 Liter

One place, one farm, one whiskey: Waterford captures the taste quintessence of various Irish terroirs with unique single-farm whiskeys. Waterford fans and CEO Mark Reynier are no longer convinced that the composition of the soil, solar radiation or location lead to clear differences - in the barley itself and thus the aroma of single malts. A scientific, independently verified study recently demonstrated the influence of terroir. It is publicly available on the website of the renowned Foods magazine.

Brand Innovator of the Year 2021 Waterford is now giving individual markets the exciting opportunity to explore their “own” terroir and follow its development over a number of years. Five single farm origins were allocated in Europe on an exclusive basis - to Germany: Tinnashrule: Edition 1.1. The terroir whiskey has its origin in the rain shadow of the Blackstairs Mountains, north of Enniscorthy. Here the hilly lowland barley fields of John Crowley Farms lie in the slipstream of ash and larch forests and benefit from the well-drained and clayey loam of the very productive Clonroche series.
