Wemyss Flaming Feast Blended Malt Whisky 46,0% vol. - 0,7 liter
Description
Wemyss Blooming Gorse Blended Malt Whisky 46,0% vol. - 0,7 liter
The Flaming Feast is a blend of two single malts, but distilled by an Eastern Highland Distillery and an Iseland distillery, both smoky-peaty malt, the first one malty-sweet smoky style, the second maritime, oily and smoky. The character of the bottling is just as pleasing, with fans of sweet-smoky whiskey getting their money's worth. The edition is 6,000 bottles - filled with 15 fresh bourbon barrels and 2 dechar/rechar hogsheads.

Tasting notes
Nose: The initial nose is sweet and candy like, foam shrimps and strawberry bonbons. Mineralic notes emerge in the form of limestone and fresh seaside air. A mild and perfumed smoke is only hinted at like a distant beachside bonfire
Palate: A complex battle between sweet and savoury with heather honey, cinder toffee and marshmallows. The savoury and maritime notes take form as rollmops or salted oat cakes and scallops cooked in butter with tarragon
Finish: Burnt wholemeal toast smeared with chunky peanut butter and a peppery spice
